Palladium maple leaf, good deal?
A dealer nearby has some PD Maple leafs for 300.00 each. With PD spot around 230 right now thats a 70 dollar premium. Just not long ago they were over 500 each. Dont see many available on the web right now. Figure those that bought them high are holding tight onto them until they at least break even.
Anyone think they might have future collector value since they are not making them anymore? Take the leap or go for the yellow metal instead? |

I'm not sure where Pd is going short term (alternative energy could spike it), but long term it is probably a good hold. |

Re: Palladium maple leaf, good deal?
I am guessing that price is in Kronor, which would convert to about $434 USD. 87% over spot...ouch. It seems like kilobars or 100 oz bars are the only way to get anywhere close to spot prices. I don't think Pd in the $200 range will last, maybe it's time to suck it up and buy a kilo?

With only a $70 premium, I'd say those Maples are a good buy right now. I'd jump on them. I've paid a higher premium for mine, don't care to say how much more.
